FREE Musical Petting Zoo!

What is a Musical Petting Zoo?
The Petting Zoo is an event that gives students hands-on experience with all the major band instruments and guitar. These events are scheduled twice a year.

Why should my child go to the "zoo"?
- It will give your child a chance to try all of the major instruments.
- It will give your child a better understanding of which instrument he/she may want to learn to play.
- You and your child get to meet our Academy instructors and ask any lingering questions.

What does it cost?
- The "zoo" is free to anyone. Please contact us to register in advance.

How does it work?
- Stations of instrument groups are set up with teachers giving basic playing instructions.
- Children have the opportunity to learn how to hold and produce a sound on each instrument.
- Children have the opportunity to try all of the major instruments.
- When they are done, they have the opportunity to ask any questions and sign-up for their "favorite" instrument.

Who can come to the "zoo"?
- Children who are interersted in learning an instrument.
- Children who already play an instrument but may wish to try something new.

NOTE: Because this event requires individualized instruction, it is imperative that you register in advance. Please contact the Encore office to schedule an exact time. Each session will last aproximately one hour.
